Dr. Vijay M. Haryani is a board certified cardiovascular consultant who specializes in cardiac catherization, balloon angioplasty and stent, peripheral angioplasty and stent, stress testing and echocardiogram, heart failure and cardiomyopathy, and pacemakers.  In addition to his private practice in cardiology, Dr. Haryani is Director of the Cardiac Catherization Lab at Provena-St. Mary's Hospital and Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL.  He also serves on the staff of Provena-St.  Joseph's Medical Center in Joliet, IL.  He's been practicing in the Kankakee area since 1990.

According to Dr. Haryani, "During the past nine years of practice I have mastered fundamental and complex invasive and non-invasive cardiology skills."  Previously, he completed a fellowship in cardiology at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL.  And previous to that, he served as Chief Medical Resident at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL, where he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine.  Dr. Haryani was the winner of the 1986 Resident of the Year Award at Cook County Hospital, which was given in recognition of extraordinary teaching skills, leadership in management of the patient, care team, and scholarship.

Dr. Haryani is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Cardiology, and received his professional license from the State of Illinois.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and belongs to a number of other professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the Illinois State Medical Society, the Chicago Medical Society, and the American College of Physicians.
